About This Performance

"[Meyers] played with an unfailingly sweet tone, molding her phrases like a singer." -The New York Times

Slatkin conducts the first PSO performance of the charming Symphony No. 68 by Franz Joseph Haydn.  Be the first to hear Composer of the year Mason Bates' Violin Concerto premiered by the mesmerizing Anne Akiko Meyers.  Saint-Saëns' popular Third Symphony, featuring the organ, was dedicated to the composer's friend, Franz Liszt.
