Explore how to tell stories through music as well as words

 

Join PSO musicians, Assistant Conductor Moon Doh, and author Brittany Thurman for playful, interactive workshops featuring Brittany’s book Fly. Designed especially for children ages 3-5, each 45-minute workshop combines reading, music, and dance to tell the story of Africa and her quest to learn how to double Dutch. Put on some comfy clothes and discover how to “jump, fly, double Dutch to the sky!”

► Moon Doh, Host 
Moon Doh is Assistant Conductor of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, appointed by Music Director Manfred Honeck in October 2021. A recipient of the Takaya Urakawa Foundation Grant awarded to promising young musicians, conductor Moon Doh has found great acclaim in various concert venues across Germany. Read More →


Brittany Thurman, Author & Narrator
► Brittany J. Thurman holds a Master of Fine Arts in Dramatic Writing from Carnegie Mellon University. She is a graduate of Kingston University, London, England, where she studied theater. Brittany is a former children’s specialist, where she worked at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh in Oakland, and Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh. Read More →
