Planning your Visit
Recommended Ages
Schooltime programs are designed for all students in grades Pre-K-12. Students do not need to be involved in instrumental music to participate. While students outside the suggested grade range are welcome, concerts are not suitable for infants and very young children.
Cost
All Schooltime units are FREE, but registration is required. To register your group, please visit the Schooltime landing page.
Tickets
You will not receive physical tickets after you register for Schooltime. You will receive a registration packet approximately one month before the concert as well as an email reminder prior to your concert.
Concert Length and Arrival:
Schooltime concerts are approximately 45-60 minutes each. Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the concert.
Homeschool Groups
For security purposes, homeschool groups larger than 10 guests must contact Savanna Webber, Program Assistant, to register for schooltime events: swebber@pittsburghsymphony.org.
Accessibility
All are welcome at Schooltime! Sensory Friendly, hearing, and mobility accommodations are available at all Schooltime concerts. ASL interpretation will be provided from stage on November 21, January 23, March 13, and May 8. Front of Hall Drop-Off Requests
Front of hall drop off can be arranged for students with accessibility issues. Your entire group will not be permitted to drop off in front of Heinz Hall. Requests must be made before the registration deadline. Please contact Savanna Webber, Program Assistant, to coordinate your request: swebber@pittsburghsymphony.org.
Lunch Requests
Heinz Hall has limited availability for students to eat a school-packed lunch after the concert. Space is not guaranteed and requests must be made before the registration deadline. Please contact Savanna Webber, Program Assistant, to discuss availability: swebber@pittsburghsymphony.org.
