PITTSBURGH—PSO360, the innovative chamber series created at the Pittsburgh Symphony that features the Pittsburgh Symphony musicians and its world-renowned guest artists surrounded on stage by the audience returns to Heinz Hall with concerts with guitarist Pablo Sáinz-Villegas in March, and violinist Alexi Kenney in May.

"We’re thrilled to bring back PSO360, a fantastic concert series like no other, with audience members, Pittsburgh Symphony musicians and virtuoso musicians seated right next to each other, each pulled into an immersive and highly engaging experience with one another," said Melia Tourangeau, president and CEO, Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.

Guitarist Pablo Sáinz-Villegas will lead a musical journey of "Spanish Romance" through some of the most iconic pieces for guitar, with exciting works by Albéniz, Boccherini, De Falla and Piazzolla, on March 12, 2022, at 8:00 pm. He will be joined by Lorna McGhee, principal flute for the Pittsburgh Symphony, and The Clarion Quartet—members of the Pittsburgh Symphony, who are dedicated to performing and promoting the works of those who have suffered suppression or been silenced. Pablo Sáinz-Villegas returns as soloist with the Pittsburgh Symphony for the BNY Mellon subscription series concerts on March 11 and 13, 2022.

Violinist Alexi Kenney returns to Pittsburgh in May for a subscription series weekend May 20 and 22, 2022, and a PSO360 performance, "Violin Splendor," on May 21, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. Acclaimed for his insightful and artistic interpretations, as well as his inspiring programming, this evening with Alexi Kenney features solo violin works and some of the best of the chamber music repertoire.

PSO360 was launched in October 2017 with violinist Ray Chen, and the eleven PSO360 concerts that followed have featured exceptional artists: violinists Vilde Frang, Augustin Hadelich, Baiba Skride, cellists Narek Hakhnazaryan and Maximilian Hornung, pianists Emanual Ax, Yulianna Avdeeva, Inon Barnatan and Kirill Gerstein, The Clarion Quartet, and members of the Pittsburgh Symphony Brass. The PSO360 series was created by Mary Persin, vice president of Artistic Planning at the Pittsburgh Symphony, to creatively expand programming in Heinz Hall’s outstanding acoustic space.
