Endowed Naming Opportunities

Endowed naming opportunities at the Pittsburgh Symphony are numerous and diverse. Donors can endow a musician's chair, a guest artist, a designated space in Heinz Hall, or an award winning education or community engagement program, in honor or memory of family or friends or someone else important to them.  Depending on the size of the gift, chairs or programs may be named for a period of 10 or 20 years, or in perpetuity. Anonymity is also assured if that is a donor's preference. The amount necessary to endow a chair or program is generally based on the principal sum of money required to generate interest earnings (calculated at 5% per year) to pay the expenses of that position activity, which are not covered by ticket revenue.
